Party Time....Finally!

So Dawson had been waiting all week for his party and we had a really fun time. The theme of the party was a Wii tournament. Wii made a couple of stations to try and keep everyone occupied. But mostly everyone stayed in front of the TV. First, wii drew names to be put in the brackets that wii made for the party. One for bowling, one for home runs, and one for a Mario kart race. All the kiddos thought that it was so cool to have their names drawn for some reason. Then they started playing. The kiddos that were not playing the wii decorated "mii cookies". If anyone has a wii you know that you created your own character to play with and it is called a "mii". So I just made sugar cookies in the shape of little people and they decorated their own mii to take home. After the tournament Dawson opened presents and then we had cake and ice cream. Now the cake was my favorite part of the party. My wonderful friend Jamie came over and taught me how to make fondant. I have never made it before and it was actually really fun. She had a huge tool box full of fondant things like colors and cutters and markers. She helped me so much and showed me all the tricks. The cake was a wii controller. I had so much fun making it and it tasted really great. (Thank you Jamie for all your help) Here are all the pictures from our super duper Wii party!!!

The cake! Isn't it cool?

Another view.

David, Casady, and I gave Dawson a Star Wars game and light saber controllers. Here he is later that night fighting off the bad guys!

Good job on the cake, Tam! I'm very impressed!
